Swim meet oblivion
We had a swim meet this weekend. Have you ever been to one? Imagine sitting on a bleacher for 5 hours in about 85 degree heat with a couple of hundred kids. We love it!
The girls did really well, however we had an official who kept DQing the 5 and 6 year old girls for not having perfect strokes...grrr...don't get me started! Scarlet and Abby took first and second in the 6 and under backstroke exhibition! Talk about sibling rivalry...Abby made it to the wall one second before Scarlet, but Scarlet somehow managed to touch the wall first, stopping her timer sooner. You can't imagine how many times I've heard "No, I was first!" this weekend! :):)Granny and Grandpa were there to see it, so that was cool! Anne's best event is breaststroke, but she wasn't competing in that this weekend. :( She didn't place in any events, but she just started this year, and most of the 10yo girls have been on the team 5 years! She really is dong great, all things considered!

Hello, world!
My name is Rebecca, and I am a workaholic, stay at home mom. Huh? I'll catch you up on that one later...
I live near Lancaster, Pennsylvania and am a mommy to three daughters-Anne, 10; Abbie, 6; and Scarlet, 5. We are homeschoolers who use Calvert School cirriculum, swimming fanatics, and churchies. The dad is Dale, who is age 39 and works at an automobile dealership.
So, that's us.
And this blog will be about our life.
